Back to work...

My first project for the Sugar Plum fair...pantry plaques! I thought about how my Grandmother would jot down notes about what needed to be restocked. She would have a little piece of paper to write "more nutmeg" on. I love the shape of hearts and figured they would be adorable to hang in your pantry.

I used Crayola chalkboard paint with a foam brush to paint all the pantry plaques. It is a lot stronger smelling than I thought it would be! I also painted wooden signs and gift tags just for fun. I am still thinking about the types of hangers I'll be using.

I'm back

I had foot surgery at the end of April. It was supposed to be six weeks total, and ended up 5 months healing time. I think it was all worth it and I am so happy to be walking again. 109 days on crutches is a long, long time. I am finally back to making Date It goodies for the upcoming Sugar Plum fair in October.
